Using the programs below, contractors and organizations can work with Sovereign to fund projects that create affordable housing and aid in the deployment of essential social services.

Financing Programs

• New Market Tax Credits (NMTC)—Provides developers of commercial businesses and real estate with below-market interest rates and/or equity infusions.
• Low-Income House Tax Credits (LIHTC)—Allows developers to offer affordable rents by using the credits in conjunction with conventional debt financing for the construction and/or rehabilitation of multi-family rental housing.
• Historic Preservation Tax Incentives—Enables builders to rehabilitate and restore buildings to a manner that retains their historic character and serve a need within the community.
